Disaster Weekend continues into the following week

Doing It All


I did NOT go to the gym as planned because I had to work on a dress for a wedding I'm attending Saturday night. I would like to not have to work on it tomorrow, but i'll have to, which means I must choose my saturday afternoon activity: gym or Jon Stewart rally?

I wish I was one of those Do It All types, but I'm just too high strung. I also wonder how many lovely times with friends or romantic saturday morning lay arounds I've missed because I don't want to overdrink/eat or felt like I MUST go to the gym.

Huh? Wha?

Stepped on the scale last night after a nice restrictive day and voila: 139. Ugh. I'm finding as I eek into my 30s it is harder to to loose weight. A year ago, I felt like I had 3 lbs that would slide off after a lean day, but now I seem to just rest at 140 no matter what I do. Then again, Tuesday I ate a LOT of bread. Like toast for breakfast, a roll for a snack, and a grilled cheese for dinner. That'll do it.

I really want to go to my office cafeteria for lunch since they have my fav healthy soup and salad combo. But I already brought garliky kale, so I am going to stick with the plan and save some money and calories for the day. My stomach is grumbling, so I'm taking that as a good sign. I SHALL go to the gym tomorrow morning to weigh in. Crossing fingers.

Only Wednesday?

Fully demonstrating the money/food connection, the only thing I spent money on yesterday was an afternoon salad bar snack. Better than the chocolate bar I originally picked up, though. Today I'm hoping to restrict a bit in preparation for the scale tonight after gym class.

I forgot about mom's bday and spent almost $100 on her present yesterday. Will have to hold off on picking up laundry and putting in Rx so I can stick to the tightened budget. Have about $19.oo/day. If I can down green tea at my desk all day, I think I can forgo my afternoon coffee.
